"International Education at North Carolina Community Colleges." by Melissa Whatley, Ph.D.

Included is a study completed by North Carolina State University on the international studies and exposure opportunities for learning on a global scale in North Carolina's Community College system. The Scholar of Global Distinction program, a partnership between community colleges and UNC World View is one of the programs mentioned and only available in 40% of the community colleges surveyed (Refer to page 11 of attachment). Forsyth Technical Community College was one of them and cooperated in the full study (Refer to page 26 of attachment).

Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge is a virtual exchange initiative that supports workforce development in the U.S., Iraq, and Jordan. Community college and university students from the U.S. and technical college and university students from Iraq and Jordan come together to solve global challenges in their communities.
